Mike Player

Mike's previous comedy theater company, Shock of the Funny, appeared at Lincoln Center and was a staple in NYC for many years. Mike is a former standup comic (The Laugh Factory, Standup NY), and a graduate of the Warner Brothers Comedy Writers Workshop. He is also a returning champion on the game show, Majority Rules. He promptly packed up his winnings and his husband and traveled the world for six months. In 2002, inspired by the enthusiastic response to his comedy improv workshops at The Village, he founded The Gay Mafia. Mike is also the creator of OUTLAUGH! America's first and continuing queer comedy festival.
